Christmas Star (2024), has imagery of a Christmas star, Christmas bells ringing and Angels on Christmas trees. When the Christmas Star appears in the 3rd verse, the children raise their hands above to make a Star shape as though they are decorating the Christmas tree while putting an angel on top.
There is an echo effect when the first part sings and second part repeats throughout the song. Suitable for all Primary levels and lower Secondary, in particular younger children (Prep to 2) as they can imitate the older children in the group. For a Unison version of this song, leave out the Part 2 repeats, otherwise exactly the same as the SA version of the song. Interwoven throughout the piece are Carillon bell-like sounds and harmonies that are played at Christmas time in cathedrals all around the world.
